Hi Teddy Team!  Here are some updates for the week of September 22nd.

Midquarter report cards will be sent home with students on Wednesday, September 24th. Mid-quarters are a check-in half way through the quarter. After checking grades, students and parents can log into the parent/student portal to check for missing work. Please talk to teachers about how to improve grades if necessary! This is also a great time to talk about using planners to stay organized, completing homework and participating in class.

MAP testing will begin Monday, September 22nd. Students will complete reading and math tests during Geography class. MAPs are used to measure growth over the school year. Students will take a second MAP test in the spring.

Our Teddies had a great homecoming week.  Imani and Kate represented the freshman class playing minute to win it games at the pepfest.  The choir and band provided entertainment.  Our football team had a decisive win over Edison.  Students reported that the dance was "awesome" and "fun".

This week Roosevelt hosted a fantastic speaker and college fair!  The entire school gathered to listen to a motivational speaker and students left inspired.  Take some time to talk about the college fair with your family.
